Do I need to set a Virtual Box for mininet in linux ? Can't I just use it?view story

http://askubuntu.com – so my elementary os (acer aspire s3 ultrabook) acted very weird. it's gotten very hot and the fan was very noisy so i installed acers3fand and allowed to fan to start at very low temperatures so the laptop would not get hot. however got lots of moving green pixels (!!!) on random areas of the screen when i disabled the fan script. i reenabeled and after several minutes the green areas vanished.
