Linux 0.0.1 Kernel - Starting Kernel Programmingview story

http://unix.stackexchange.com – To start kernel programming, instead of reading the books, the online references suggested to download the linux 0.0.1 source and find bugs. I have downloaded it and I am going through the code with parallel reading of "UNIX internals" by Bauch. Now, the latest kernels will be far more advanced then this. (HowTos)

Linux modules.order and modules.builtin missingview story

http://stackoverflow.com – I'm trying to get a old laptop working as a little linux server. Linux has not detected the network card (JMicron JMC250) automatically, so I need to install the driver. The driver is uncompiled and written in an older kernel version and because I'm terrible at C and I couldn't find a patch for it, I just compiled it to a .deb file on a virtual machine with an older linux version (10.04 LTS). LXer: Comcast Continues To Pretend To Support Net Neutrality With Misleading Claimsview story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Published at LXer: We've mentioned in the past how Comcast has been pretending to support net neutrality, with ad campaigns stating that it does -- clearly in an attempt to confuse the public.
