http://ubuntuforums.org – I seem to have a difficult time finding a thread already mentioning this so my apologies if this is something that has already popped up and answered, but my login screen seems to "freeze" and remains in the background after I log in (photo attached). Also, sometimes, when I log off the background won't load at all. (Hardware)

http://ubuntuforums.org – Dear friends, I'm facing a boring problem on Lubuntu 13.04. After installing Adobe Flash and Cairo Dock w/ xcompmgr I realized (after rebooting) that a gray screen appears right after the login screen, and after 5 seconds the system finally shows me the Desktop area. I really don't know if it's related to flash or cairo dock or even to xcompmgr itself...or none of them. (Hardware)

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have just discovered an inconsistancy in my new server setup. When I issue the free -m command the output states that I have 1993 total memory available when I know for a fact that this machine has 6GB installed. The kernel agrees with this number but dmidecode does not. I am posting the output of the commands to make my problem clearer. (Hardware)
http://ubuntuforums.org – I am trying to install Ubuntu on a Dell Latitude D800 laptop. It has a 60 gig HD, 512 megs of RAM, 1.6 ghz intel pentium m (32 bit), and requires a non-pae linux distro. It currently has Windows XP SP3 on it and works with no issues, but I wanted to install linux on it (erase windows) to see if I could get better stability and to try various programs it has. Everytime I try to install linux or (Hardware)
https://www.centos.org – Why do you think you need to do so?I've moved your topic to the CentOS 6 Software Support forum where it seems more appropriate. [by TrevorH] (HowTos)
http://ubuntuforums.org – A friend has a local gas station/convenience store. He has a security system in place that records video. He has tried moving the video files to his Ubuntu PC to gain more space on the security system and to review them. (Hardware)
