Weird issue with keyboard and mousepad on laptop (Ubuntu 14.04)view story

http://askubuntu.com – As the title implies, I have an issue with the build in keyboard and trackpad on my laptop. Sometimes, when I turn on the computer, the keyboard and trackpad won't work. I can connect a USB mouse, and it works fine. Thus far, I've either removed the batteries from the laptop, or closed the screen, reopended it and then it fixes itself. Again, this doesn't happen everytime I turn on the laptop. (HowTos)

http://askubuntu.com – After mistakenly running dconf reset -f /org/gnome/gnome-panel/, I tried manually putting back all the custom launchers and indicators I put on the top and bottom panels and was able to get most of them back. Because I used to find old custom launchers automatically go there, I went to check the Menu Bar's "Applications -> Other" folder to look for the rest. (HowTos)
