Why does my desktop PC wake up when I turn on my Laptop?view story

http://superuser.com – I have two Windows 8 PCs. One is a desktop computer and one is a laptop. Whenever I wake up (from sleep) my laptop, my desktop computer will also wake up at the same time. I have no idea why this is occurring. I am not sure how the two systems are connected to each other (neither of them have a Microsoft account attached to them). Is there a way to stop this from happening? (HowTos)

http://hardforum.com – I wouldn't mind buying a 970 right now but can't risk the coil whine not even a little. I got 660 now and it's very quiet. I understand the noise happens when playing older games and getting several hundred fps seems to cause the noise and I do play a lot of old games. (Hardware)
