Can't log inview story

https://www.kubuntuforums.net – Recently, KDE has stopped letting me log in. It accepts my password, but when I hit the Login button, it just stops. The cursor has turned into an X. I can still move it around, but clicking on stuff doesn't do anything. Rebooting doesn't fix it. (HowTos)

Is there an easy way to reduce static in skype (such as through a voice activation detection meter)?view story

http://superuser.com – Is such a thing built in to skype or has a program been made so that your mic only activates once the sensor detects past a certain threshold? I know it is common in almost every other VOIP service (such as Teamspeak or Raidcall), so I was just wondering if anyone had possibly created or jerry-rigged a system for those of us with shitty mics. upgrading to new board worth it (keeping old cpu) ? From SATA2/DDR2 to SATA3/DDR3view story

http://superuser.com – I currently own a AMD Phenom II X4 955 with a AM3 board (with SATA2 only and DDR2). I recently bought a Samsung 850 EVO ssd drive (250GB) for the OS. I know I'm not using my SATA3 SSD drive to it's full capacity. I could buy a PCIe SATA3 controller card for like $25. I heard some of them are not working very well. I was thinking of upgrading to a new AM3+ board for like $100. (HowTos)

Lab environment for testing routing in a Unix environment?view story

http://unix.stackexchange.com – I know there are tools such as GNS3 and Packet Tracker; but the big problem with these tools is they do not work with open source tools such as OpenBGPD and BIRD. So, this leads me to the question; what are some ways to test routing that work with tools such as OpenBGPD and BIRD without building an actual physical network to do the testing? (HowTos)
