New Project - Converting Bar-Height tables into Computer Deskview story

http://forums.anandtech.com – I made a bit of an impulse buy today at our local Antique/One of a Kind store. Three 42" bar tables, right from some bar in Brampton. Ignore my gross garage.. The table tops are pine. The legs are metal of some kind, very strong and heavy. Right now the tops are unscrewed from the legs but I've placed them back on while I figure out what to do next. How to encrypt an external SD card natively?view story

http://android.stackexchange.com – There are several questions regarding the possibility to encrypt an external SD card on Android. None of them are satisfactory. They either point to a third party solution (e.g. BoxCryptor, Cryptonite, EDS) or refer to a ROM specific GUI-way to encrypt. So my question remains: How to encrypt an external SD-card with built-in kernel features? (HowTos)

Why are so many security cameras wireless only?view story

http://forums.anandtech.com – You have to run power to them anyway. o_O Why not just make them POE? Been looking at cameras and it seems only a small fraction are wired and POE. Just seems odd. Not to mention the security implications of wireless. Once someone manages to find a way to quickly crack WPA2 it will render all of these obsolete. Been looking at security cameras and not finding much as far as wired POE. (Hardware)

http://stackoverflow.com – Good day, I am building an Android Application using Android Studio. I want my layout to be as precise as possible, however, it seems that the list of Android Virtual Devices where we can render the layout to is limited to Nexus Devices as shown in this screenshot below: and the Generic Phones and Tablets do not have much screen size and resolution variety, so I decided to add my device defini (HowTos)
