How to setup iSCSI targets on CentOS 6.5 with 2.x kernel?view story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – My attempts to follow web-based setup instructions have hit a snag. Im being told that I cannot setup iSCSI targets unless I have a 3.x kernel, and all the CentOS installs I know of are 2.x. Has anyone worked around this issue? Is there a fix or workaruond? Is it recommended to upgrade the kernel to 3.x even though it's CentOS 6.5? (HowTos)

Accept fails on invalid argument, followed by bad file descriptorview story

http://stackoverflow.com – We have a server that has been perfectly functional for the past few months. However, out of the blue - yesterday - the server failed to accept a connection with "invalid argument", and subsequently with "bad file descriptor". Every site/suggestion I've checked says I should have a listen() after bind() and before accept(). I do, and I'm also checking for errors on listen(). (HowTos)

Using a variable as another variable in a bash script?view story

http://stackoverflow.com – Hi I'm kinda new to bash scripting and not very technical when it comes to writing my own scripts, I have a script that works perfectly in a terminal. I wanted to use zenity to make things nice and simple and straight forward (but also as a little learning project). The script generates random passwords and with zenity is quite a good little tool.
