Fans to replace H80i Stockview story

http://hardforum.com – I acknowledge I made this thread some time ago but I never pulled the trigger on anything and of course things change with time, so I'm giving it another go. I'm looking to upgrade the fans on my H80i. Anything over 900-RPM on these fans creates a discernible noise, and anything over 1300 RPM sounds like a hair-blower, getting much louder than my GTX 980 ever does. (Hardware)

Acer Switch 10 won't boot (perhaps because I overwrote on the windows boot partition)view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi, I tried to install Ubuntu 14.10 on my Acer Switch 10 (SW5-012). I managed to have the installer launch by building bootia32.efi from grub2 and putting it on the installer usb key (this is normal, Bay Trail computers apparently neet a 32bit bootloader...). (Hardware)

Deleted everything in SDA1 how to recover?view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – OK, I'm a dumbass. I thought I was deleting my USB drive, but it wasn't. I highlighted everything in SDA1 and hit delete. I remember there was a boot folder, and a bunch of other stuff. Like I said, I thought it was a USB drive and figured it was a UBUNTU live CD or some such thing. I checked in my "Trash", and it's now there. (Hardware)

What do logical and extended partitions do?view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I am confused by what the logical and extended partitions that can be created in GParted actually do. I have read that only four primary partitions can exist on a hard drive at once and that is rather limiting when trying to run multiple operating systems from one hard drive, and to get around that logical and extended partitions are created and used. Ubuntu Live USB + Casper-rw Persistence + Dropboxview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello, I'm having a very specific problem with dropbox on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. This particular installation is to a flash drive using casper-rw persistence. I used this tutorial for installation. The problem is that dropbox stores it's login credentials somewhere outside of the persistence, so every time I restart, the file is wiped and I have to re-enter my dropbox username and password.
