Procedure to calculate the day of the week for a given date.view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – To calculate the day of the week for a given date, first of all we need to find out the number of odd days. Today I thought of sharing a beautiful problem I learned in my school, though it is easy, it is tricky too. Odd Days are number of days more than the complete number of weeks in given period. Leap Year is the year which is divisible by 4. A normal year has 365 days A leap year has 366 day (Hardware)

Dual boot Windows 8 and Ubuntu on Different Drivesview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi, my laptop contains two hard drives, both just under 1000 gigs. I'd like to dual boot both Windows 8 (what I'm currently running) and Ubuntu, but instead of partitioning one of the drives I'd like to dedicate one hard drive to each OS. I've seen tutorials for how to dual boot, but most of them explain how to do so on one hard drive. (Hardware)

Ubuntu 14.04 stopped all logging - sudo tail -f /var/log/syslog failsview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi, I unfortunately installed these tweaks: http://www.noobslab.com/2013/10/enab...tweaks-to.html This tweak killed logging apparently: Second tweak is to stop access to HDD for log files. If you are in single user system, probably you don't need log file like when this directory/file was accessed last time. I cannot undo them and no there is no system logging. (Hardware)

770 vs. 280x to replace misbehaving MSI 670view story

http://forums.anandtech.com – So I have a MSI 670 PE that's about at the two year mark. Most of my gaming is typically WoW, but I've been pushing into a few other games out of boredom over the last few months - Titanfall, Watch Dogs, EQ Landmark, Firefall, just to name a few - and I've had massive problems with all of them. I think I pretty well have it tracked down to the issue described here at Tom's Hardware. (Hardware)
