(Sound Issues)Skyrim running under Wine in Ubuntu 14.04view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have been having problems with the sound when I run Skyrim on Steam after I upgraded to the 14.04 release. Since then, every time I open skyrim, it plays sound in the opening scene (BETHESDA) and the sound nor subtitles work after that. I also cannot use the Alchemy Table so I am guessing that not just the sound has been affected by the upgrade. (Hardware)

I just need one usb micro-adapter for wireless that works with 14.04view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have a Lenovo T440s laptop. It shipped with the ill-fated rtl8192ee driver that does not work. I purchased a usb micro-adapter intended for the raspberry pi with "guaranteed" linux compatability. It is also a realtek chipset. The driver for it "works", but is completely unreliable. (Hardware)

UPS vs Surge Protectorview story

http://hardforum.com – I've run into an issue lately in my work space. I've noticed that whenever the condenser for my water cooler kicks on, it flickers the light, makes my TV wig out and makes my mouse unresponsive until it re-initiates. I was going to invest in either a nice surge protector or a UPS. (Hardware)
