http://ubuntuforums.org – First, some background. I was running 12.10, which was a normal installation of Ubuntu. I then installed XFCE4 alongside it. http://ubuntuforums.org – I have Ubuntu 11.10 and Debian. Debian is what I use every day, and is what the GRUB 2 installation on the Master Boot Record points to. If I upgrade Ubuntu to 12.04, will it overwrite the MBR with it's own GRUB? (Hardware)

[ubuntu] 12.04 and 5.1 surround issueview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have found several posts related to this issue, and I thought I had a solution, until I read several closed threads related to 12.04 and 12.10. It appears an a52 plug in has to be created in order for everything to work. My main question is, is this resolved in 13.04 or the latest update to 12.10? If so, instead of creating the a52 plug in, I will simply update my version. (Hardware)

What do I have to do to automate that in such a way that the automation will stick after another upgrade? (Hardware)
