Benchmarking 32 v 64bis Slackwareview story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I was reading some old threads about the origin of Slack64 and see that Pat included the 64bit build because it benchmarked faster. My own experience so far 64bit was a good bit slower on an older system with 2G of RAM, in fact slow enough to be unuseable. I've ordered some new hardware and was wondering what would be a good way for me to get some #'s to compare, i.e. (HowTos)

http://superuser.com – I plan build a computer with Intel Xeon E3 1231v3 (which is has no GPU) on Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H motherboard (which it says it has onboard integrated graphics processor in its specification). I have asked in another question and know that CPU has no GPU can still get the display as long as the motherboard has onboard graphics. (HowTos)

KVM desktop all-in-one with traditional desktop?view story

https://www.kubuntuforums.net – Does anyone know of it's possible to KVM to an all-in-one desktop? In case anyone is not familiar with them, a desktop all-in-one is a desktop PC that has the monitor, the CPU, and the DVD or Blu Ray drive all built into the same unit. Nowadays they're usually also touch screen. (HowTos)

mv with rsync functionalityview story

http://unix.stackexchange.com – I'm trying to merge two directory trees that have many common elements but also each have elements that are only present in one of the two trees. The main issue I am having is that when mv encounters two sub-directories with the same relative paths it either keeps the source (with -f) or the destination (with -n) but I can't make it take the union of both sub-directories. Using SSL on MailEnable Enterpriseview story

http://serverfault.com – I am hosting my client web sites and email accounts on my dedicated server on which Windows Server 2012 is installed with MailEnable Enterprise Premium. And also, hosting panel is Plesk 12. I am trying to figure out how to enable secure email connections (SSL) on that server. As far as I figured out MailEnable only lets only SSL Cert to be used on the server. But that's it. (HowTos)

Interspire stops sending, must be restarted after sending 200-500 emailsview story

http://forums.cpanel.net – Looking for any feedback from Interspire users: CPanel with Exim, mostly default configuration. Tested on two servers, both with current CPanel, CloudLinux and LiteSpeed. One 'light' dedicated server (quad core, 8GB RAM); the other a very beefy dedicated server (Octa core, 32GB RAM). Interspire starts sending but stops at +/- 200 emails. (HowTos)

How to create a virtual command-backed file in Linux?view story

http://stackoverflow.com – What is the most straightforward way to create a "virtual" file in Linux, that would allow the read operation on it, always returning the output of some particular command (run everytime the file is being read from)? So, every read operation would cause an execution of a command, catching its output and passing it as a "content" of the file. (HowTos)

Panic on SCO6view story

http://www.unix.com – Hi all, I am running SCO6 in a VMWare environment. For the past two Sunday's during the system's automatic reboot I have received a Panic and the system has locked up. I have had to power off the VM and back on. I have never run into this sort of thing. Can someone help direct me to where the problem is? (HowTos)
