Is the 12LF1840 compatible with PicKit 2?view story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hello Everyone, Please forgive me if this is a stupid question. I'm so new to microcontrollers it's not even funny. Several years ago I bought a PicKit 2 with the hope to learn a little about microcontrollers, but as with most things I hope to do, the wife, kids, job, etc always came first so I just never got to it. I tinker just a very little with electronics so please bare with me. (Embedded)

LED response timeview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Guys I found an led (visible range) with a response time of 20ns does it mean that it will support a switching speed of 25MHz. Also if true are there any leds with lower response time in range of 1-10ns. Cheers. (Embedded)

Amplifying a small frequencyview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hello, I am trying to amplify a small signal with variable gain. The frequency going in is about 30 Hz. That is my limitation. Right now, I am using LT 1228. Before I get into the variable gain problem, I first want to see if the LT 1228 will even work with such a small frequency. I have attached a schematic of my circuit that should be similar to the one on the LT 1228 datasheet. (Embedded)

Square Wave Generator Constructionview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – hi, I am building a circuit with op-amp to generate a square wave. The circuit diagram is shown here: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu...square.html#c4 The op-amp I use is TL074 and when I run it, there is a problem: I get the square wave in the first few minutes (like 20min or so) and then the output becomes a constant voltage. Increasing mA in a wall wartview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I'm trying to help a friend who has a radio / record player that's missing the adapter. It calls for 9v 800mA. I have a bunch of adapters, but have yet to find one at 800 mA. I tried one 9v 200mA, and it fits the plug, turns on the panel lights, etc. (Embedded)

Help with transistor switchingview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi guys, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, as I thought I had grasped how transistors work! But I'm new to electronics. I'm trying to use a 555 timer output to switch on a large magnetic valve. My circuit is running at 12v, 1A, and the motor requires the full power. (Embedded)

More on AC Polarityview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – *** Correction *** Hello: I'm trying to work my way thru allaboutcircuits. I'm stumped on "More on AC Polarity". How did they get 14.861 V and 16.59 degrees out of the two indicated voltages of 10 V and 0 degree and 6 V and 45 degrees. To me, I understood pretty much the preceeding pages before this, but I'm just not getting this at all. Thanks, Brad C. (Embedded)

Arduino and MIDIview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi guys, Just wondering, are there any Arduino and MIDI experts here? I keep hitting a brick wall in my program to convert MIDI to a polyphonic square wave. I'm reading the MIDI data just fine, and I can play monophonic sounds, but polyphonic audio is beginning to bug the....out of me! (Embedded)

What's a good carbon filter for fume extraction?view story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I see this filter: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Holmes-Biona...item2ecacc88a8 I also see this filter: http://www.amazon.com/Carbon-Filter-...pr_product_top The latter says it's activated carbon, while the former says it's a pre-filter. The filters look similar to me, I'm confused. Are they the same filter and would both of them work? (Embedded)
