[ubuntu] setting second monitor to 1280x720 on nvidia graphics cardview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I've got a Dell Inspiron 9300 with an nvidia GeForce Go 6800 graphics card. I'm using a Toshiba 20HL85 TV as a second monitor. I have the latest driver (185.18.36). My computer sees my TV as a CRT and doesn't list 1280x720 as one of the supported resolutions. I had the same problem in Windows, but managed to solve the problem on my own. (Hardware)

Now onto my next problem. I can see almost everything on the screen, but when the computer comes from sleep, the initial display is all garbled. Also, the message that you get when connecting to a network is just a black rectangle. (Hardware)

http://ubuntuforums.org – Last time I tried Ubuntu was around November last year. I only test one game though, World of Warcraft under Wine. I tried with stock drivers, and then I think I tried with xorg-crackers or something like that from ppa. Both didn't really have an effect on WoW :/ So any ideas? (Hardware)
