[ubuntu] Having installed with Wubiview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi, I've installed Ubuntu on an old PC to replace XP on it (at the moment both are on it). And, to do so, I used the Wubi installer. everything seems OK, except the OS being rather slow to react. Using often Ubuntu on my iMac (parallels desktop), I know that it is normally just as efficient and swift as Mountain Lion, and so (even if this could be caused by the rather restraint RAM of this machin (Hardware)

No matter which option I select, the DVD spins for a bit and the screen goes black. I've tried multiple verified Live DVDs. (HowTos)

[ubuntu] Dual booting question.view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – After awhile of booting to Ubuntu from an external hard drive, i finally decided to try a dual boot. Using the wubi.exe, I installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS onto my Compaq Presario CQ56 64 bit. Everything went fine until i actually logged into Ubuntu. It is running slow and hangs a lot of the time. I thought that creating a swap file would help. (Hardware)
