I have been trying to install Ubuntu all day. I have burned the .iso to dvd, made a usb bootable version, and even downloaded wubi.exeview story

http://askubuntu.com – Like the title says I have been at this all day. I have partitioned my disk to no avail. When I boot to Ubuntu I get two options (remove partitions on hard drive or something else) I only get the third option, install along side Windows, when I have my 16 gb usb inserted. I have a usb bootable on a 8gb and a dvd. (HowTos)

The battery indicator in Unity panel not showing upview story

http://askubuntu.com – I installed Ubuntu 12.04 with Wubi. Well after being completely dazzled with the amount of free content in the Software Centre, I decided to go deeper and start messing with settings. Well after changing the screen brightness the highest level I noticed that there wasn't an indicator for how much battery was left in my laptop. (HowTos)

Truecrypt + wubi installerview story

http://askubuntu.com – I have two hard drives. One on which windows is installed and encrypted with truecrypt. I would like to test the latest release of Ubuntu. Can I install it inside windows with wubi without breaking anything? If it is possible, does it matter if I choose to place the "virtual drive" on which Ubuntu will be installed on my second hard drive? Your answers would be greatly appreciated. (HowTos)

[kubuntu] Kubuntu wubi help?view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi, I installed Kubuntu 11.10 through wubi, maybe a week and a half before, and KDE crashes, sending it into some GNOME 2d fallback( or at least what it looks like :?). It runs fine in fallback GNOME, but i'd really like it to be back running in KDE again(the reason i ditched Xubuntu for it.) Anyone please reply!! ~~~dzponce11 (Hardware)

[wubi] windows destroyed my wubiview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello I had downloaded and installed wubi about a month ago, dual booting with windows 7 pro and everything was working fine, until about an hour ago when windows 7 started running chkdsk on boot while I had walked away. I came back to find it about 70% done just going to town with "deleting <enter file name here>". (Hardware)
