https://bbs.archlinux.org – rajagopal87 wrote:2 > Logically i assume, the actions/events/methods provided by a widget depends on the toolkit the programmer uses... if that is true, then how is this taken care by the window manager? or how do these programs (QT gui, GTK gui) work together under a single WM/DE??I think you are confusing different "levels". http://stackoverflow.com – I have a service which starts a system overlay. When the overlay is visible, I want it to be touchable/detect touches, but I want to preserve the interaction with the screen behind it (with behind I mean the underlying activity, next to the overlay for example). My overlay is a bitmap/PNG of 128x128px. It gets drawn and when I click it, I receive the TOUCH! log, which is good. (HowTos)
http://askubuntu.com – Attempting to fix my church's computer... Ubuntu 11.04 operating system.. hp 8600 printer. The printer was working perfect, until they had a power outage. When attempting to print they would get a cups error. I got the system past this issue...now when selecting print, the computer goes through entire print process, and window pops up saying print successful, however nothing went to the printer. (HowTos)
http://askubuntu.com – I've just upgraded my 12.10 to 13.04. The only problem I have right now is with scilab. After the upgrade, scilab doesn't start correctly: the software starts but the graphics are strange, and I'm not able to move or resize the window and click on the menu. The problem is related to Ubuntu 13.04 because I've tried every version of scilab and all show the same problem. (HowTos)
http://unix.stackexchange.com – I removed the staff group and closed my finder window (yes I am a fool for doing this). After closing the window, I effectively lost access to everything on my "Macintosh HD". I re-booted and was happy to see my login screen, but after I login all I have is a grey screen and cursor. http://serverfault.com – We have a (very) fragile software suite running on a server in our datacenter that requires a user to be logged in, but freaks out and crashes if the user logs in twice (resource contentions, all sorts of issues) Due to its fragile nature, certain processes break all the time, requiring our support guys to connect to the machine via RDP and restart stuff. https://bbs.archlinux.org – Hey,i had the idea to stream the output of my Windows 7 Box (DVI or HDMI) into a desktop window on my Arch Linux box (much like a VM, but with a real machine). Is this possible with a capture card? I want to bypass the latency of vnc and such, but i dont want to record the output. (HowTos)
http://stackoverflow.com – So I'm attempting to get the actual size of the phone's screen in order to center a bunch of menu buttons. (HowTos)
http://stackoverflow.com – I Apologize if the title is confusing or not clear enough. Buts that the best I could come up with. Anyway I am working on a android project in which I am displaying Text files and their corresponding flash animations. The project is simple but I want to avoid writing repetitive code. When the Activity Loads I am displaying a text file with two buttons on the screen below one of which is play. (HowTos)
