[ubuntu] Atheros AR9285 Not Detected by Samsung NF310view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi guys, I recently got a Samsung NF310 netbook. It has a Broadcom 802.11n wireless card, which is not very well supported currently. In order to have reliable wireless, I switched it out with an Atheros AR9285 wifi card. The Atheros card seems to be invisible to the system. It doesn't show up in the output of lspci, and I can't find anything weird in dmesg. It's like it just doesn't exist. (HowTos)

[ubuntu netbook remix] Best USB Adapter(s) for 10.10view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi guys, I've got an Acer Aspire One D150 running UNR 10.10 (2yrs old but still running!) - I'd like to get a small, reliable and cheap USB adapter as the built in wifi device isn't cutting it. Can you guys recommend some good cheap & small wireless adapters that will work right out the box without too much configuration. P.S If you got links to UK sites even better! Thanks in advance (HowTos)

Network managerview story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – Is there any network manager in Statler ?I'm not talking about gnome-network-manager which just lets me choose between direct connection and proxy, I'm talking about a real network manager which shows me the status of my connection to the internet, to the network, hostname alterations, choosing of the network (for ex. when plugged in but in WiFI range of another network) etc. (HowTos)
