Convergence Or Confusion: Comparing Apple’s And Microsoft’s Approaches To Post-PCview story

http://techcrunch.com – Last week saw Microsoft launch its latest major operating system update, Windows 8. We’ve had a good long time to get used to what Windows 8 was bringing; Microsoft released public betas and consumer previews long before it hit shelves, in part to refine the product, and in part to acclimatize the public to what’s definitely a big paradigm shift in Windows computing. No install alongside windows optionview story

http://askubuntu.com – I downloaded Ubuntu and put it onto a DVD and i assume it works fine because the disk is working. I looked around at the options and noticed that I could install alongside windows, but I chose to just try it. Now I've decided to install it alongside windows(vista) but now the option is no longer there. Any ideas..? (HowTos)

http://www.itwire.com – Featured | Written by: Alex Zaharov-Reutt | Published in: Fuzzy LogicThe “ow starts now” was my reworking of Vista’s tagline, but with Windows 8 and RT that both blend Microsoft’s tablet magic with the full power of a desktop OS, delivered in an amazing variety of form factors, sizes and styles, the Windows 8 wow finally gets to truly start now. Assistance optimizing #! performance in VBox VMview story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – Hi there everyone! One of my #! installs is in a VM, since I need Windows on the machine for some work-related reasons.  I'm witnessing some mild performance issues, in window response, mouse scroll lag, things of that nature.  I've had this issue in other DE's but some are more snappy, like Mate desktop in my Mint install. How to Make Ubuntu look like Windows Vista?view story

http://askubuntu.com – For Starters, I do know that this sounds weird to want it to look like vista and not win7, but I just don't like how win7 looks, that's just me, you can not change me. I have searched on google quite a bit looking for this, nothing shows me to make 12.04 look like vista, just win7. Is there an Ubuntu theme available to make it look like Windows 7? So if you could help me, thanks! (HowTos)
