Following the instructions on this forum, the modem is recognized and I can get a connection on networkmanager. However, it is awfully slow. I believe it is working on 2G rather than 3G (there's a blinking green led instead of the blue one I get on windows). Is there a way to toggle between 2G and 3G? Thanks in advance. (HowTos)

I looked in the fstab file and did not see any reference to the cd drive. When I put a usb zip drive it recognize it just fine. Can someone help me with this.
