However, it is not connected to LPT #1 but via a USB port, as follows: Motherboard USB Port -> KVM Switch* -> USB to Parallel Cable -> Printer I think the KVM Switch is irrelevant but I have noted it here for completeness. I installed Ubuntu to the HD while the HD was in another computer and everything worked fine, but then i unplugged the HD and put it in the Compaq and now USB ports wont work I have read a couple threads and i think my issue is that i have an SB400 controller. The manual recommends installing the "Turbo USB 2.0 Driver" to speed up data transfer. Should I install the driver? (Hardware)
