Incorrect UUIDsview story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – After taking a break from Arch to experiment with Slackware, I decided that--while I did enjoy Slack--I missed Arch too much and wanted to return. Since it's been awhile I see some things have changed. The installation process seems mostly the same as when I had stopped, but it doesn't want to go as smoothly as it used to for me. (HowTos)

Any chance of recovering data from a possibly fried drive?view story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – Yes it is a USB device. I don't have a voltmeter handy. but I will try to put the drive on the internal bus and see if that helps.EDIT: I have opened up the case and separated the drive.  The drive is a SATA drive. I don't remember if my desktop has a SATA port in it. (HowTos)

[ubuntu] Setting up Samba Printer Ubuntu server to Ubuntu clientview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I am trying to set up a client Ubuntu PC to access a printer set up with the server Ubuntu PC. I have made a number of attempts using these directions. When I set it up there appears to be some sort of problem with the password authentication as it fails there and doesn't print test page. I assume I use the same password and user name for the rest of my SAMBA configuration. (Hardware)

[ubuntu] Not sure where to post this. Need help retrieving data from broken phone.view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – A few weeks ago I broke the screen on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and was unable to see anything. I got the phone replaced but I want to figure out if I can retrieve data from the old phone like my SMS data and import it to my new phone. I can view all of the contents of the harddrive so I'd like to know if there is a way I can access it from there and move it to my new phone's harddrive. (Hardware)
