Answer about Pepper flash.view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi everyone. I should preface this with, issue only after upgrading from 13.something to 14.04 via command line. So it's entirely possible this is caused by an upgrade. I'll do a clean install over the 12.04 later to see if the issue exists there and try it on another 14.04 PC here also and see if the same error occurs. (Hardware)

BOOTMGR missingview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – OK, I have a old work computer laptop that I wanted to play and learn Ubuntu with. The condition was that I format the hard drive first. So I have a totally blank hard drive. I burnt Ubuntu 14.04.1 to a disk. Went into BIOS and set CD/DVD as 1, HDD as 2 and USB as 3 and it will still not load the Ubuntu disk to start installing it on the blank system. (Hardware)

[ubuntu] Seemingly Google related Black Screen of Deathview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – So I upgraded my wife's old laptop from 12.04 to 14.04. So far so good! I noticed chrome was no longer working, so I decided to grab the .deb from Google's Chrome website using Firefox, black screen, I had to hard reset to get some visuals back. Thinking it was a coincidence I tried another couple of times, I got the same results. I installed Chrome from PPA and everything seemed to be fine. (Hardware)
