When I press it once (for example Fn+F4 in order to increase the volume) it goes slowly all the way till the end (highest volume) and balloon notification blinks as if I was still pressing the button. The same with decreasing the volume. Brightness control works as it should. My system is updated Ubuntu 9.10 (Hardware)

Dmesg activates just fine. iwlist says the device can't be used for scanning.
