Can't Get Cuda to Install on Ubuntu...view story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I can't seem to install Cuda successfully on Ubuntu on my laptop. I need it in order to properly use Dax for "data analysis at the extreme". I've tried a lot of different things and done a lot of google searches on this, and nothing seems to really be working. I've included a summary below. I have two machines that are running on oldstable because I cannot dist-upgrade to wheezy. This is causing major heartburn. Can’t figure out Samba file share permissions as needed.view story

With the files in the file share need to be read only, can be edited and then saved as a new file. I'm also the server guy in my group and the other members are Cisco networking.
