Horizontal scrolling will not auto start.view story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – I cannot get horizontal scrolling to remain enabled after a shutdown/reboot. I have to run synclient HorizEdgeScroll=1 every time I log in. I've added it to my autostart.sh but no dice.## Detect and configure touchpad. (HowTos)

[Resolved] can't seem double tapping with touchpadview story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – I'm currently using Statler the alpha build of CrunchBang and finding it faster than Ubuntu. However my touch pad is not double tapping at all. In Ubuntu I usually fix this problem by downloading gpointing device and toggle the Tapping time option. This does not seem to be working for whatever reason, so if anyone knows how to solve my issue that would be great. (HowTos)

howto needed: re-enable touchpad from CLIview story

http://forums.opensuse.org – I prefer a mouse and dislike touchpad, so I'd like to disable the touchpad on this laptop, but I need to be able to re-enable it if the mouse is unavailable (dead battery, forgot to pack it or whatever). I can easily disable the touchpad in KDE, but would need to know a simple way to re-enable it from CLI if needed. Does anyone kow a simple command to do so? (Distributions)

howto: re-enable touchpad from cliview story

http://forums.opensuse.org – I hate the touchpad on this laptop and use a wireless mouse at all times, but I don't dare disable the touchpad for fear of having forgotten to pack the mouse, dead mouse battery or whatever. If I were to disable the touchpad (very easy in KDE 4.4.4) could I re-enable it from CLI in an emergency? thanx (Distributions)

Touchpad no left or middel click (new clickpad style pad)view story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – I have installed Statler Alpha2 on an HP Mini 210-1010NR, and the touchpad is not functioning correctly. I am unable to right click or middle click It seems that the problem arises from the hardware not actually being a touch pad but a "new" click pad. Apparently this thing has a kernel patch written for it: (HowTos)

so I compiled a kernel today...view story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – Well I have been using Linux since 2000 and this is the first time I ever have actually compiled a (self) customized kernel. To be honest there was never much of a point before, but my netbook's Intel Atom n270 mediocre performance finally made me decide it was worth trying and I figured since I am replacing Mint 7 with Gentoo on it I might as well try something different. Mouse pointer no longer moves after attempted install of bluetoothview story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I am using Ubuntu 10.04 on a laptop with a Synaptics touchpad. While testing an install of Bluetooth drivers I booted my computer into recovery mode so I could find out if Bluetooth worked before networking was installed. The system reconfigured the graphics to low VGA which disabled the mouse. I rebooted (normal startup) uninstalled the bluetooth drivers, but my mouse still won't work. (HowTos)

Synaptic Touchpad in 11.3 - strange behaviour with dragging and middle clickview story

http://forums.opensuse.org – One strange and little annoying issue I notice with my openSUSE 11.3 installation is my Synaptic touchpad behaves way too strange.... Dragging a window or icon - half way around - a click is generated (probably a middle click I guess) and I need to re-drag it again.... In the browser when I try to select a text - again by dragging - a middle click gets generated... (Distributions)

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hello, I'm currently running CrunchBang 9.04.01 on a EeePC 900HD netbook. I've just installed zsnes and libsdl in order to run the emulator. When I use the zsnes command however, I get the following error: Code: Starting Mouse detection. Unable to poll /dev/input/event9. Make sure you have read permissions to it. (HowTos)
