http://forums.fedoraforum.org – First of all thank you to chrxx over at notebookreview.com for this idea! Sound Drivers (I promise I googled this and arn't lazy)view story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – Alright, so I've got this sound, right? And it's not working. I know, I know. Common problem with linux noobs, RTFM and google it and all that. When I try to run music on console it complains about driver problems and of course drivers were installed and did nothing. It's an IBM Thinkpad T22. (HowTos)

Lenovo ThinkPad X230: Certain ACPI events sometimes stop being sentview story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – I've tried baking thinkpad_acpi, iTCO_wdt, and button into the initial kernel ramdisk, with no luck.  Comparing the output of dmesg isn't giving me any more clues at this point.  I'm fairly convinced that the problem must be a race condition of some kind, but it beats me as to what.  :-/ tomxtobin https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=43143 2012-07-07 (HowTos)

[all variants] Bootable UEFI USB Keyview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – All boot disks seem to be traditionally legacy. UEFI is fairly recent. Setting my laptop to legacy boot only, will boot Parted Magic from USB key but not my OS. Setting dual boot order to legacy first then UEFI, does not have the desired effect. A happy medium is to hit F12 then choose boot device from list. (Hardware)
