http://askubuntu.com – I did a fresh installation of XP SP3 on an IBM ThinkPad T40, 512 MB of RAM, Pentium M 1.5 GHz processor. I ran the wubi executable for 12.10 and let it download and unpack the image. When it said I needed to reboot the computer to complete the installation, I let Wubi restart it. During the reboot, it never came up to the boot menu and just booted into windows. (HowTos)

During a Google search, I came across this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...8&postcount=17 I set up thinkfan as suggested, but now my fan is even MORE annoying, sometimes going to a higher speed than I've ever heard before. http://askubuntu.com – Sound isn't working at all, except when I connect my headset. I think it's hardware problem? What can I do to fix it? I have a ThinkPad with HDA Intel PCH. I even tried filling a bug report, but now I think I shouldn't have as it majorly seems to be a hardware support problem. Also, a guy posted something on the bug report that I can't make sense of (Feeling so ~n00b right now [._.] ). (HowTos)
