How to setup Canon InkJet Pixma IP 1300?view story

http://askubuntu.com – I am unable to setup Canon InkJet Pixma IP 1300 on Quantal AMD64. The things I have tried: Shut down and disconnect the printer before installing packages. Added the ppa:michael-gruz/canon repository to synaptic and installed the cnijfilter-pixmaip1000series package (there is no package for 1300 so I installed the nearest one). (HowTos)

How to install Activity Log Manager in Lubuntu 12.10?view story

http://askubuntu.com – I want to solve this problem and thought about trying activity-log-manager to edit Zeitgeist log (or something like that, if I use the right terms). I have Zeitgeist 0.9.5 installed and Synaptic allows installing activity-log-manager v. 0.9.4. I have installed it. It is visible in main menu, in usr/bin/ as well as in /usr/share/applications/, also the Launcher Synapse sees it. (HowTos)
