How to temporarily mount a hard drive partition as read-only using Nautilus?view story

http://askubuntu.com – I hibernated Windows 7, then booted Ubuntu. When I tried to mount the Windows partition, I got this error: I'd just read that switching OSes via hibernating was OK as long as you didn't modify files on the other OS's partition, and I'm glad Nautilus ensures you don't, but I need to copy some files from that partition. Is there a way to make Nautilus temporarily mount it as read-only? (HowTos)

http://androidforums.com – Good morning! I have a couple questions that I am hoping someone (or a collaboration of someones) can answer. 1) I take a ton of pictures. With my previous phone, I would plug it into my computer and all new images would automatically dump onto my hard drive. At that point, i would delete a good portion of them off of my phone and go along my merry way. (General)
