Successful Install on the ASUS Maximus II Formulaview story

http://forums.opensuse.org – Hello all, This is my first post. I just wanted to inform everybody about the successful installation on my rig. I am relatively new to Linux and wanted to try something other than Ubuntu. I tried Gentoo, but it took a very long time to get working and X would simply crash. Somebody told me about SuSe and I decided to give it a shot before going back to Ubuntu. (Distributions)

11.3 & Trying To Install PCMCIA card - WG511Tview story

http://forums.opensuse.org – I was trying to get a card to work well with linux. I searched compatibility lists and found the NetGear WG511T to appear good. I got one and when I insert the device, Linux never sees it. In Windows, it appears like normal and drivers install. In OpenSUSE 11.3, the device is never recognized; no lights turn on, not listed under iwconfig, or networkmanager. (Distributions)

Huawei e200 usb stick is not working in openSUSE 11.3view story

http://forums.opensuse.org – Although my Huawei e200 usb stick is working well under ubuntu, its not working in openSUSE. I think the udev rule provided by the vendor is suited for a debian system and not for openSUSE. When i see the dmesg output, it adds driver for ttyUSB0 and as soon as it adds it also removes it. Software Manager (/usr/sbin/packagekitd)view story

http://forums.opensuse.org – Am I the only one who gets this on gnome everytime I start up package manager or package finder in 11.3? System management is locked by the application with pid 6890 (/usr/sbin/packagekitd) I literally have to kill -9 pid everytime I run it. What is going on here? (Distributions)

Nvidia Driversview story

http://forums.opensuse.org – I'm running SUSE 11.3 with KDE 4.4.4, last night I installed the proprietary Nvidia drivers for my MSI NX8600GT card using this guide. After restarting all the text on my computer became so small it's almost unusable. I found the settings to change most of it back in desktop settings, but it's still small in the tool bars at the tops of my programs, in the terminal and at the log in screen. (Distributions)

http://forums.opensuse.org – I can no longer make client connections (neither from home/ubuntu nor from localhost) to nxserver on . The gripe is "no subscription information found on server"" but the server.lic (chmod=400) and is clearly the perpetual free 2-user license. Authentication completes successfully. (Distributions)
