Reading a DVD works a from shell, but not from a daemonview story

http://askubuntu.com – I'm writing a daemon in Python which monitors my optical drive for disc insertion events with udev/udisks, and rips the disc using HandBrakeCLI or MakeMKV (depending on whether it's a DVD or blu-ray). The daemon runs as a special user called "jack" and usergroup "media". "jack" also belongs to the usergroup "cdrom". (HowTos)

Is there any gnome-shell mixer icon relying on alsa and not pulseaudio?view story

http://unix.stackexchange.com – So, long story short, when I installed Mint 12 on my Dell laptop I realized my HDA-intel sound board have problems with pulseaudio. I uninstalled pulseaudio and got my sound back, but removing pulseaudio also removes that nice little mixer icon on the top panel of gnome-shell, and messes up with the sound configuration app. Is there any other solution to just removing pulseaudio? Zimbra and Postfix: configuring a catch-all mailbox/domainview story

http://serverfault.com – I'm not new to Postfix, but am new to Zimbra. I've seen this answer on changing Postfix parameters, and this article on how to configure a catch-all domain in Postfix. What I need to find out is how to do the Postfix configuration in Zimbra (7.1.1). I checked the Zimbra Admin page and didn't see anything that would allow virtual domains (mail to *@some.domain.example). (HowTos)
