11.10 slow graphic performance with ATI switchable graphics when using Virtualboxview story

http://askubuntu.com – I am using 11.10 (by way of Virtuabox) on a brand new Samsung Series 7 with switchable graphics, which I am assuming to be part of the issue here. The graphics card is integrated Intel / and an ATI 6750M with 1 gigabyte of VRAM. I have Virtualbox (running on Windows 7) set to the Maximum Performance setting so that it always kicks on the ATI card. (HowTos)

I actually cannot remount it readwrite again, but have to reboot the system. This rebooting causes some orphaned inodes to be found on the reboot, but I cannot determin any errors on the harddisk. Chakra seems to be running well on it now.I did the full install from usb stick onto a pre-partitioned drive also holding aptosid and Windows 7. Grub2 found both of these other OS's.I needed to use nouveau.modset=0 and xmodule=vesa to get the live session to load.I did a normal install without proprietary drivers. (HowTos)
