Adapter did worked fine, but I have problems with wired connection now: I can ping my router. Skype works fine (don`t need DNS), internet on virtual machine (winXP) works too. http://ubuntuforums.org – I have a strange problem, my wireless adapter works, in that I am able to see other wireless networks, except my own! It's very frustrating. I can't even manually connect to my wireless network. I've even disabled security temporarily. Whenever I boot back into Windows, I am able to connect to the network with no problems =/ Any suggestions? (HowTos)

http://www.linuxquestions.org – hi, i'm running a game server and have a problem when i put the ip address into the start up command. i can start it ok using the local ip address, 192.168.1.69, for example, but this doesnt seem to put the game on the master server list so i tried to use the ip address assigned to the router, which is port forwarded to my server but i get the error: (HowTos)
http://www.linuxquestions.org – My understanding is that IPv6 expects a link-local IPv6 address to be configured for an ethernet interface for it to work. I'm finding in some cases it doesn't happen until a later time (after I'm trying to configure a static IPv6 address) or in some other cases, doesn't happen at all (yet IPv6 is working as I can successfully configure a static IPv6 address).
