http://ubuntuforums.org – Hey. So, how can I make the brightness level persist even after reboot? For example, if I set the brightness to 20%, after reboot/startup, it gets back to 100%. I use the laptop dedicated buttons to change the brightness, thanks. (Hardware)

https://bbs.archlinux.org – I upgraded last night, including the latest kernel but there may also have been a couple of kde-specific updates. Support Cannot Updateview story

http://androidforums.com – So I finally decided it was time to check if there was an update for my Mesmerize, low and behold, 2.2.1 it a little out of date. I start hunting around for update instructions, I find the ones on USCC's website, and I start working through them. Everything goes fine until the connecting the phone part. I get to that and the phone never gets recognized. (General)

[ubuntu] ATI/AMD startup annoyance...view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Tried another forum (Precise) for an answer, but perhaps this one is more specific. I bought a laptop with a ATI/AMD 6970 card. When rebooted into OO or PP the gamma is extremely light. If I start the Catalyst control center and then cancel it, it reverts to my custom settings. The settings are shown as saved properly, but not recognized on reboot. (Hardware)
