Accesing EXT3 partition form WIN XP [migrated]view story

http://serverfault.com – I have WIN XP partition on my PC. It is used from time to time, but I need access to one particular EXT3 formatted Linux filesystem in read/write mode. Sourceforge offers Ext2Fsd. Nice, but it works in read/write mode only with EXT2 filesystem type. Operating on EXT3 formated cause from time to time damage of EXT3 filesystem during access it to write mode. (HowTos)

Full AD'S flashing up on my screenview story

http://forums.androidcentral.com – Hi, in the last few days I have started receiving full ads flashing up on my note 3 (like the way a pop up would show up on your computer) that I have to close in order for it to go away. I deleted any new apps which I had downloaded (all from the play store) in the last few days that could have caused it, but nothing has helped. (HowTos)

What to do with buffer overflow?view story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – You need to start thinking like a computer user from the 1970s. Sure, for every day tasks, RAM can be thought of as being overabundant. But if you are doing any sort of complex computations, you need to immediately consider your RAM usage. (HowTos)

[ubuntu] Downgrade back to 13.10 from 14.04view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hey, I recently upgraded to 14.04, with the intention of staying with trusty and following the phablet progress. In the main everything is fine but I have understanble problems every now and again (which I'm reporting). I'd rather not do a clean install of 13.10 again and have to set up all my stuff again from scratch (virtual machines, lots of local dev sites in apache, databases, software etc. (Hardware)

Problems mounting hard drive with live USBview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello. All This is the problem I am having, when I mount a hard drive. To scan with rkhunter. Using this, sudo mount /dev/sda6 /mnt/safe mount goes good, but when I cd into /mnt/safe all I see are the files on the live USB? I am thinking this is not what I should be scanning. Shouldn't I be seeing the files on /dev/sda6 ? (Hardware)
