Nginx variable variables?view story

http://serverfault.com – Nginx provides the value of the cookie "foo" in $cookie_foo . Is it possible to read "foo" from the URL? In PHP you would use two dollar signs for this kind of indirection. (HowTos)

System crashed during kernel upgrade.view story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – This computer/motherboard combo has always been kind of 'strange,' as i have never been able to get it to boot without having to press #F1 before it would boot. Additionally,  I have to reset the date after every boot as the bios falls back to 2003 as it's default. (HowTos)

sudo in zsh: vim autocorrecting to .vimview story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – Hey guys. Recently, (possibly as of zsh 4.3.15), whenever I'm in ~, zsh has been prompting me to autocorrect sudo vim $filename to sudo .vim $filenameWithout "sudo", zsh makes no attempt to uncorrect "vim", which vaguely reminds me of having a sudo="sudo " alias in bash to get autocompletion working for sudo commands. rc.shutdown doesn't seem to umount the filesystems correctlyview story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – The problem is that each time I shutdown/reboot, there's a message saying "Unmounting Non-API Filesystems" failed, and the next time system boots, fsck will recover journal. I looked into etc/rc.shutdown, found that it calls umount_all in etc/rc.d/functions. (HowTos)

Strange issue with networkview story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – Thanks. Yet it was my mixing up of the command above to grep the log. It should have beensudo tail /var/log/everything.log |grep -m 20 eth0The result above showed not the last events, but some random (which I should have seen from the output). The IP output does not show anything special in my mind, just that you apparently were connected with wifi and not eth0. I have no further idea currently. (HowTos)
