Microphone problemsview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hey gents, My microphone has an extremely low gain for the input. My friend can barely hear me over VOIP. I am disappointed because the sound options are very minimal and I never had this kind of problem when I was running windows 8. The microphone always came in loud and clear. I see an option to boost microphone in alsamixer but I cannot toggle it to on. (Hardware)
