I'm using pclinuxos, it shows the machine in the device panel as sg2 and lists the machine , so Im guessing the kernel knows what it is, but I can't view it as a scanner or capture or input device . Whenever I attempt to install a distro that is Grub Legacy the boot menu completely disregards the Grub 2 distros. Any suggestions on how to correct this during the installation will be appreciated. I had PCLinuxOS installed and I was attempting to fully replace it with Ubuntu 12.04 I've seen a lot of other questions similar to this but as far as I've been able to figure out none of the solutions work for me.
