Multiple LFS on single disk fdisk Sun Ultra 5view story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I'm preparing to do some (C)LFS installs for multiple architectures (supersparc, ultrasparc, ultrasparc3). Sun hardware wants a partition (3) to be a Sun type partition (Whole disk). Do I need to have that partition (Whole disk) when I'm building the OS, or does it not matter until I'm ready to send it to the target machine? (HowTos)
