Arch and Pacmanview story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – For those of you more experienced with Arch Linux, are there any good GUI frontends for Pacman?  I know from this list that there are some out there:  https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pa … _FrontendsBut, I'm wanting personal input in case I decide to play with Arch.  The disclaimer on the above link about none of those programs being officially supported makes me wary (HowTos)

Installing ATi driversview story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – Hello,I've just installed Crunchbang Statler on my laptop (feels at home again :D)But I was wondering on how to install my videocard's drivers again. On Crunchbang 9.04 I downloaded them from the ATi website and install them and on Arch I'd use the opensource drivers through pacman.How would I do this on Debian? (HowTos)

[SOLVED] Ok, do I run ./wineinstall as root or not as rootview story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I am familiar with compiling some programs, though I am basically a newbie (I am more use to using package managers such as apt-get, pacman, yum, etc,) I do know what I am doing. ./configure ./make ./makeinstall is usually how it goes. So I read the readme file that came with wine 1.3.7. It stated that I could compile but it would be better to use the wine installer, ./tools/wininstaller. (HowTos)
