System hangs under strange conditionsview story

http://forums.opensuse.org – I'm having this strange problem where the system hangs in conditions as follows: Bring up the shutdown dialog through the KDE menu. If I move the cursor immediately after it appears on the screen, the computer hangs completely, accepting no input and forcing me to shut down the hard way. If I wait for, say, 2 seconds everything goes fine. (Distributions)

General KDE4 usage questions (openSUSE 11.3)view story

http://forums.opensuse.org – I've just installed 11.3 and this is my first real use of KDE4. I like the fact that the Desktop folder appears in its own window distinct from the desktop itself. I've noticed, however, that the icons for images (previews) are "smudged" and do not resemble the images at all. Has anyone else experienced this? (Distributions)

Enable screen-edge scrollingview story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – Greetings, I'm using crunchbang for my media server hooked up to my old TV. It's pretty crappy (the TV that is, #! is awesome) and appears to have a native res of 400x300 or so. High resolutions come out pretty tough to read and use even with increased size fonts. (HowTos)

Trouble with Mouse Daemon on FreeBSD 7.3view story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I selected a PS/2 style mouse in Sysinstall and tested the mouse daemon and everything worked fine. I use an Intel notebook that has a pointing stick, a mouse pad, and a USB mouse. All three work perfectly before starting X. I have configured X to run KDE automatically when starting X. That is where the problem is. (HowTos)

RemotePad for the iPhone and Ubuntu Linuxview story

http://linuxfilesystem.com – RemotePad is a very cool application, specially if you watch a lot of stuff on your computer. The best combination is to have a player that works well with mouse gestures and keyboard commands. So you can change the volume, fast forward, pause and other cool stuff from your couch. (General)
