UI in a Terminal or Command Prompt windowview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi guys! First of all I want to say, I love the new theme on the forums :3 Right to the point, I was wondering how I make a UI for a Linux Terminal or a Windows Command Prompt? I am currently working with the C# Language and Mono on Linux and .NET on Windows, I am not 100% sure this can be accomplished with the C# Language, but I guess you won't know unless you ask. Using ~/.fonts.conf to change the weight of monospace fontsview story

http://unix.stackexchange.com – On OS X, monospaced fonts are slightly more weighted than the other fonts. This (I feel) helps bring out the colors more vividly. Since I am on Linux, I'm trying to replicate the behavior. (HowTos)

[ubuntu] Front speakers stopped working after upgrade to 12.04view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Just as an introduction: before the upgrade to 12.04 I was only able to get surround sound working by using the AlsaUpgrade script to upgrade alsa to 1.0.25. Without that I would have only stereo options in Sounds Settings. The upgrade to to 12.04 overwrote the alsa on the system back to version 1.0.24, but Sound Settings does show 5.1 output. (Hardware)

Text not appearing with certain fonts.view story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – I've got a bit of a strange issue. With certain fonts, no text is visible in some cases. The issue doesn't appear with Droid Sans Mono, but does appear with Droid Sans. As far as I can tell, none of my monospace fonts are affected. I've tried reinstalling my graphics drivers (nouveau), but this hasn't fixed the issue. (HowTos)
