Linksys WRT54G router broadcasting, but not responding otherwiseview story

http://serverfault.com – I was messing with my WRT54G running OpenWRT and I may have ruined it, but I am not sure. By default, it has a static IP of 192.168.1.1, but I turned that off and made so it gets its IP from DHCP. After changing that setting, I cannot get to the admin panel, but I still see it broadcasting the WLAN. Pinging 192.168.1.1 times out. (HowTos)

Multiple wireless networksview story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – OK, so I am truly ashamed because the answer to this is probably very obvious, and I'll gladly wear the dunce cap while I ask this.A couple of weeks ago -- I think after an update -- the internal wireless card in this ThinkPad T30 stopped working the way it had until that point and gave me several choices of networks from which to choose, without connecting to any of them. Alternative to pfSense for a production-ready firewall solution hosted in ESXiview story

http://serverfault.com – I'm looking for an alternative to pfSense (2) that can be virtualized in VMWare ESXi. I've experienced several problems with pfSense to date and I feel like it is not a totally finished or polished product. Whenever anything goes wrong (IP address conflict, squid misconfiguration, etc) the whole thing goes berserk and it takes a reboot or at least 5 - 10 minutes to fix itself. (HowTos)
