[ubuntu] Wireless connect fails at WEP keyview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Dell mini 10 with ubuntu 10.04/windows xp, connecting to linksys wrt54g. Connected when I was using 9.10, has worked for several months since 10.04 was installed. Still works if I boot XP, but, when booting Ubuntu, router won't accept the passkey which I obtained from my wired computer. http://ubuntuforums.org – First off, I'm a bit novice with the Ubuntu environment, but I've managed to get my wusb100v2 working with Ubuntu Lucid. Until recently, it's been working fine, but as it's on my parents computer they asked if I could remove the keyring password prompt at startup, which I did through the System > Preferences > Sessions, unchecking all applications related to the gnome-keyring. All was well. (HowTos)

Running karmic, it seems my computer just CANNOT connect to certain websites sometimes, even though those sites are not down. I mean I cannot even ping the site. When I try to ping, the DNS routes just fine and I get the IP address with no problem, it just never gets any response. (HowTos)

[ubuntu] System 76 Pangolin wireless failedview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have new System 76 Pangolin laptop. When Ubuntu first installed, wireless worked fine. I could see the internet and the wireless-attached printer on my Linksys home network. After a day or so, wireless no longer works. It is not a home network problem, because several other laptops on the same network work fine. Seems like my wifi card (Realtek rtl819xSE) is no longer powered on? (HowTos)
