I set it up with a WPA/WPA2 mixed mode security and My friends are all able to connect to it with no problems. I've been running Ubuntu for a while now and i've never had wireless problems until now. Connected when I was using 9.10, has worked for several months since 10.04 was installed. Still works if I boot XP, but, when booting Ubuntu, router won't accept the passkey which I obtained from my wired computer. Until recently, it's been working fine, but as it's on my parents computer they asked if I could remove the keyring password prompt at startup, which I did through the System > Preferences > Sessions, unchecking all applications related to the gnome-keyring. Running karmic, it seems my computer just CANNOT connect to certain websites sometimes, even though those sites are not down. I mean I cannot even ping the site. When I try to ping, the DNS routes just fine and I get the IP address with no problem, it just never gets any response. (HowTos)

I could see the internet and the wireless-attached printer on my Linksys home network. After a day or so, wireless no longer works. It is not a home network problem, because several other laptops on the same network work fine. Seems like my wifi card (Realtek rtl819xSE) is no longer powered on? (HowTos)
