http://ubuntuforums.org – I am running Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 on a Sony PIII laptop. I have a Simpletech 250GB USB hard drive that I use for backups and a few other things. It is formatted as Fat32 so that I can use it in several platforms. The drive does not automount at boot or when connected to the system. It is automatically mounted by all my other systems, including Win2K on the same laptop. (Hardware)

http://ubuntuforums.org – I want to get a new laptop with a decent graphics card. I don't care that nVidia's drivers are closed source as long as they're good. I've heard that ATI drivers are buggier and I was wondering which card would be best. I have options like GT 240M, GT 320M, Radeon HD 4670. I thought that I would be the owner, sort of like an USB flash drive. I want to back up to this HD before upgrading my Laptop and desktop computers.
