[ubuntu] Ubuntu just deleted 9GB of ebooks on my Galaxyview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Fortunately I can replace them. I plugged it in to my laptop, the Galaxy appeared in the file manager. I clicked on the ebook folder and it said Empty At precisely that instant, out of the corner of my eye I could see the Galaxy redirect from the ebook directory to the root directory Everything gone in a poof! How can I prevent this from happening again? Should I just transfer via thumb instead? (Hardware)

X25M G1 switched system, doubled and halved in speed.view story

http://hardforum.com – I'm working on my old netbook that I sold to someone, was given it in exchange for labor setting up a new laptop to replace it. Well, first off, when I was disassembling it to pull the drive for data transfer, I must have fucked something up, as now the netbook won't power on. So much for coming out ahead in this deal...but it did have an 80GB X25M G1 in it. (Hardware)

http://hardforum.com – Looking at this as a possible Christmas gift. Chromecast + Logitech Harmony remote. This if for seniors who have a laptop, but have a hard enough time turning it on. TV Input 1, Input 2, Input 3 is beyond their understanding. Main TV = 36" Tube. Bedroom TV = 27" LCD 720p.. because the tube died. I think they are okay with using the bedroom TV as their media device. (Hardware)

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hello, ok so I am running a fresh install of slack14.1 w/ current updates. I was looking to try out enlightenment on slackware, and came across ngc891 hard work and figured I would give it a try. I first tried ngc891's easy installation script for the full install w/ extras. When I would either use kdm or startx I would get a pointer for a split second and then I would get a black screen.
