IPTables setting gets lost - has to be re-appliedview story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – We use IPTABLES to route traffic to a specific port. The rules are set and they are in /etc/sysconfig/iptables on multiple occasions we will find that the rule is not in place, and we have to issue the command again, there was no reboot. Is there a way that this will happen? Or a way to look for any logging to see how / when it happened ? (HowTos)
